On this joyous occasion, we helped 3 of our newcomers students graduate from Waterloo University! Their journey in life has been unbelievable so far and we are excited for where it goes from here in their new home!

We are very proud to be holding this event in honour of the supportive community and all those helpers who pitched in during a very tough couple of years and beyond.
On Nov 18th from 4-7pm, we are hosting a BBQ at the Stratford Rotary Complex and would love you to be a part of it.
Admission by donation (with a tax receipt!) will go toward our efforts for helping newcomers and facilitating the movement of community diversity.

“It's not pretty," she added. “People are sleeping on the streets. We were called to Toronto because there was an influx of immigrants with very little information about any kind of support they would receive once they got to Canada. If it wasn't for one of our developers that we work with taking them in, they would have had no place to go. … We were promised a grant from the government to aid in these types of situations and we have not yet been issued that grant. The problem is happening now, so we need that funding support from the government to be able to carry out the aid that is required for these people."
To continue to provide housing for refugees arriving in Stratford and the surrounding region, we are calling on all levels of government to help support people like the 12 Ukrainian families currently living in motels or in tents in Stratford.
We need the financial help promised by the government when they promised refugees would have a safe place to be within our borders.
