About Us

I'm Dyan and I am from Stratford, Ontario and I am the person behind @dezignsbydyan. I am a retired CPA that has always dabbled in creative projects and with retirement from the accounting profession, I have expanded my creative passion. I have knitted for about 30 years and taught myself crocheting in the last 6 years as I never wanted to knit another afghan! I have been making candles as well since 2016. I am always looking to learn new techniques while creating home decor and wearable items. With the business side of my brain not really in retirement, I decided to buy yarn to sell to others in my area hoping to be an affordable option to my customers and someone you can always talk to for yarn and project ideas as well. You won't get that at a big box store. If you are looking for a particular yarn and do not see the type or quantity available on my online store, message me and I can see if I can source for you.  I split my time between Stratford and Owen Sound, so message me to arrange a time to come to studio.  I am flexible for timing when I am in Stratford from morning to night.  I also offer crochet and knit classes in my studio so follow me on Instragram or Facebook for class times.  Happy Crafting.
