About Us

Dave started his career as a Financial Advisor working for a Wealth Management company in the Kitchener area, managing internal investments while growing his Advisor portfolio. Seeing a need for a truly client centric approach to personal and corporate financial services, he founded the Mitchell Merit Financial Group in 2016 based on that need.

Prior to joining the Financial Services sector Dave enjoyed a successful career in Industry working in diverse fields such as Endoscopic Surgical systems, Industrial Steel construction and Robotics Manufacturing serving as National Sales Manager to Managing Director for several multi-million dollar International manufacturing companies. He understands the complex dynamics of the  global financial industry allowing us to expertly manage your personal or business portfolio.

In addition to being a CFP, Dave is also a graduate of the CSC, (Canadian Securities Course), WME, CPH, as well as numerous other industry related courses and holds Certification in Advanced Financial Advice from the Canadian Securities Institute.
